We Did the Wild Africa Trek Tour At Disney's Animal Kingdom | Summer 2024
On Thursday, July 25th, our family did the Wild Africa Trek. The minimum age is 8, so we were waiting for Rider to be old enough. Our tour was at 10:15am.
This was definitely on our Disney Bucket List! We love unique experiences at Walt Disney World and we try and do a new experience each trip, so this Ultimate Adventure at Disney World's Animal Kingdom was a must-do for our family. The Wild Africa Trek is a three hour tour that gets you up close and personal with the safari animals, includes a delicious lunch, and it all-around one of the best experiences at Disney World.
They were also able to accommodate my gluten allergy with a gluten free meal.
I cannot recommend this tour enough. It was fantastic. However, it is quite physical and particularly difficult in the hot summer sun. I would do it again in a heartbeat, however, I would probably not do it on a park day.
Embark on a privately-guided, VIP expedition full of close encounters with exotic African wildlife!
An Exhilarating Safari Adventure
Be awestruck viewing wild animals in their natural habitat on the 3-hour Wild Africa Trek. On this privately guided tour, discover animals of nearly every variety living in the Safi River Valley—an untamed environment that resembles their home turf in Africa.
The Journey
Walk along a grassland path, cross a rope bridge and ride in a rugged safari vehicle over an open savanna—with a chance to view African creatures including towering giraffes, powerful rhinos, hippos and crocodiles.
Along your journey, your knowledgeable guide will share insights about the majestic animals you’re viewing, as well as details about the park’s dedication to animal conservation.
And as if your safari weren’t memorable enough, you’ll receive a complimentary souvenir as well!
Complimentary Photo Services
Enjoy your encounters with the animals of the Harambe Reserve while a trained photographer captures all the action and excitement throughout your adventure—a service that’s included with your tour.
